The design of the school crest is the work of two former students, Ken Swaby and Frank Whelan. The logo depicts a stylised flame surrounded by eight tapered elliptical shapes within a circle. The name of the school, as Gaeilge, appears within a double circle surrounding the other shapes.
The flame represents knowledge and education. It symbolises knowledge illuminating the lives of our students. The tapered elliptical shapes represent the many and diverse influences which fan and keep the flames burning. The circle represents continuity.
