Permanent Extension Announcement for St Declan’s

On behalf of the Chairperson, Councillor Jim Moore, Board of WWETB and Kevin Lewis Chief Executive, we are delighted to announce that we have received formal sanction from the Department of Education and Skills for a permanent extension (including removal of prefabs) at St. Declan’s Community College, Kilmacthomas.

The extension consists of 6 new mainstream classrooms, a technology room and technology prep room (208 m2), additional toilets and ancillary floor area. The total area of the extension is 853 m2 (9182 ft2).

The process of appointing a Design Team will commence immediately.

This project will significantly enhance our ability to manage the ongoing increase in enrolment numbers that the school has seen and is expected to continue to achieve.

Thanks to all  who have helped to ensure this project was sanctioned.
